They’ve conquered the mass of year-end lists that had bloggers and music aficionados debating over and discussing for the last few weeks of ’08, and now TV On The Radio hits us with their B-side track of “Dancing Choose,” remixed by Prefuse 73 (neé Guillermo Scott Herren). Signed to Warp Records, Herren has been doing his thing for a minute now and brings his trademark glitches and looping vocals, taking an already amazing track and amplifying its power and gusto by ten. Herren’s take is careful not to overpower TVOTR’s message, but rather enhances their intent and waits until after the two minute mark to really start putting their vocals through some crazy acrobatics of production. The original may be hard to touch, but Prefuse 73’s version makes the song live up to its name—dance with caution, and watch those flailing arms, will you?
